Penn Cardiology has an immediate opportunity for an outpatient Nurse Practitioner or Masters Physician Assistant to join our cardiac team in South Jersey at our ambulatory offices in Cherry Hill and Mt. Laurel, NJ. As an ambulatory Advanced Practice Provider (APP), you will work alongside attending cardiologists, other APPs, cardiology nurses and other cardiology staff to care for patients.
In this critical role, autonomy is both encouraged and fostered, as our cardiology APPs will learn to manage cardiac conditions with increasing independent expertise. This position will include direct patient care of complex cardiology patients. You will also have the opportunity to improve care for this population by participating in a robust performance improvement program.
This is a high-paced, dynamic environment rich with opportunities for professional growth. Membership is encouraged in professional societies such as the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the American Heart Association (AHA).
As an APP on our team, you will be responsible for promoting organizational values of patient and visitor satisfaction by demonstrating courtesy and respect for all their families, visitors, and other employees. You will care for patients in all age groups from young adults through geriatrics, and you should demonstrate competence in the assessment, treatment and care of patients served.
Schedule: Monday - Friday (five 8-hour shifts); no weekends or holidays
Required credentials:
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• Basic Cardiac Life Support
• Certified Nurse Practitioner/PA
• NJ CRNP licensure (CRNP)
• NJ Prescriptive Authority
• National Board Certification
Education or Equivalent Experience:
• Master of Arts or Science required
• Master's Degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Nursing required
