The associate will be responsible for blending raw materials to create various the best pops in the world, and in doing so will need to follow specific guidelines and procedures.Our high-energy, fast-paced environment is also fun and collaborative. Candidates will assist in the production room once blending duties are complete.About King of PopsWhat started as a single pop pushcart on a street corner in Atlanta has developed into a tradition in Atlanta and throughout the South. We started with selling pops out of carts but now also cater, sell in grocery stores, run a bar featuring our soon to be world famous Pop-tails, franchise our cart business so people can bring KoP to their neighborhood, grow fruit on our farm, run a regional food distribution business and most importantly have fun doing all of it!Beyond all that, what moves us the most is creating UMoHs or Unexpected Moments of Happiness. We do this in countless ways and are part of the fabric of our company. Whether it's free yoga in the park, farm field days, free pop days, treating organizations that are close to our hearts or helping out fundraising for the next big thing at non-profits. Pops are the perfect way to put a smile on a face and have a moment of happiness in a sometimes overwhelming world.Essential Job FunctionsMix formulas according to written procedures, ensuring ingredient quantities and quality comply with regulatory guidelines.Ensure proper closure and documentation of raw material containers to prevent cross-contamination.Weigh batch ingredients and adjust as needed.Sample and test raw materials and batches.Perform cooler inventory reporting and assist in multiple areas of manufacturing as required.Use various kitchen tools (knife, food processor, electric blender stick, steam kettle, etc.).Work independently and as part of a team.Lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.Success PatternsHighly detail-oriented.Ability to ask questions and voice concerns when necessary.Accurately follow recipes.Strong multitasking and documentation skills.Possess excellent organizational and communication abilities.Preferred: Experience in food prep and/or mixology.RequirementsStrong organizational skills.Takes initiative and adapts to the work easily.Practices excellent personal hygiene.Willingness to ask for help when necessary.Eager to assist others.Arrives on time and prepared for the work day.Follows guidelines and works well with a team.Job ConditionsWorking Environment: Food manufacturing environment. Safety-sensitive position due to interaction with heavy machinery. Physical Requirements: Perform moderate to heavy physical labor (lifting up to 50 pounds frequently). Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Daily bending and reaching. Schedule: Primarily Monday through Thursday, with occasional late afternoon shifts.
