Details Client NameOSF Saint Francis Medical Center Job TypeTravel OfferingNursing ProfessionRN SpecialtyMS Job ID29570545 Job TitleRN - Acute Care - SFMC Weekly Pay$2362.0 Shift Details ShiftNight - 12x3 - 07PM Scheduled Hours36 Job Order Details Start Date12/09/2024 End Date03/10/2025 Duration13 Week(s) Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse - Acute Care Job Specialty: Acute Care - General Medical Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights, every other weekend and holiday Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Medical-Surgical License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS - American Heart Must-Have: - General medical level of care experience preferred- Competency in general medical nursing Job Description: - Function as a member of the Patient Care Team to provide professional nursing care services to patients admitted, transferred, and discharged from the medical center.- Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served, primarily ages 16 through adult.- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.- Utilize the Epic electronic medical record system.- Participate in an interdisciplinary approach to meet the expectations of patients and families served.- Provide nursing care in a 13-bed Short Stay Unit, with plans to expand up to an additional 10 beds.- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5.- Floating to other General Medical units may be required.- Wear appropriate professional attire, avoiding childish scrub characters.- Complete initial training, including one day of Epic training and HealthStream work, followed by two 12-hour shifts with a unit preceptor.- Demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development, and address physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs of patients served.- Engage in six to ten weeks of unit-specific orientation and on-the-job training to learn unit policies, procedures, and work routines.- Develop proficiency in medical equipment use and nursing quality assurance standards.- Comfort patients and communicate effectively with patients, families, and other patient care providers.- Instruct patients and families in self-care/home care procedures.- Assess patients' physical, psychological, and social needs to develop individualized care plans and evaluate patient responses to interventions.
