Job Summary:

Provide leadership under the direction of the Branch Manager. Assist the Branch Manager in developing a team spirit among branch personnel and instills pride and value in the branch network. The Assistant Branch Manager's primary focus is on directing the daily operations of the branch, but has an integral role in assisting in the development of all sales and service goals. Please note: Assistant Branch Managers I must have the ability to travel throughout the branch network to provide staffing assistance at all branch locations when necessary within a 15 mile radius. On an exception basis may need to cover a branch further than a 15 mile radius of their home branch.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

Supervise branch staff in conjunction with Branch Manager including monitoring performance, preparing evaluations, overseeing work flow, coordinating training of employees, providing general assistance to personnel as needed and promoting superior member service. Recognizes selling opportunities and effectively cross-sells credit union products and services that benefits the membership. Perform all duties of the Branch Manager, FSR, and Teller Supervisor position, as necessary. Possesses thorough knowledge of Dade County Federal Credit Union products and services. Performs new account openings and all other related platform functions. In conjunction with the Branch Manager, ensures that sales productivity is maximized while maintaining smooth and efficient branch operations. Adheres to all policies and procedures set by the Credit Union policies and State and Federal regulations. Makes recommendations to Branch Manager regarding new ideas and procedural changes and takes action in areas to promote more efficient operations, increase staff motivation and achieve business growth. Approve necessary and logical exceptions to policy and procedure. Effectively addresses employees in basic disciplinary areas and takes required action when appropriate. Prepare and submit all required weekly and monthly security reports, checklists, compliance reports and general ledger reconciliation's, ensuring the branch adheres to established guidelines. Performs daily branch opening and closing procedures. Monitor maintenance of branch equipment scheduling service as needed. Accept all sales goals and understand the role-played in achieving the branches sales goals. Provide guidance and coaching to branch personnel assisting them in achieving their personal goals through the formulation of monthly and weekly action plans and thereby allowing the branch to achieve its goals. Assist in the development of annual sales goals and branch budgets. Exhibit financial responsibility in the monitoring of income and expense levels and contributing to the profitability of the branch. Complies with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations and standards. Attends all required BSA training. Willingly assist all departments as requested. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements:

Minimum two-year college degree or equivalent training/experience. Excellent verbal/non-verbal skills. Ability to sell products and services and assist with managing branch sales production. Professional presentation. Familiarity with PC applications including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel. Demonstrated aptitude to handle sensitive operational transactions and customer relationships. Strong knowledge of the financial industry and economy. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record, which will be verified annually through a motor vehicle report with initial candidate authorization. Candidates are required to obtaining their Credit Life and Credit Disability license from the State of Florida. Must have in-depth knowledge of branch operations with three or more year's branch experience in teller and/or member service areas. Minimum one year of Managerial experience required. Spanish speaking strongly desirable.
