Job Description

As a Frontend Software Engineer at SOCOTEC, you will be responsible for designing and developing user-facing applications that are both visually appealing and highly functional. You will work closely with backend engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive, responsive, and accessible user interfaces, ensuring an exceptional user experience across all devices.

Key Responsibilities: Building Engaging User Interfaces: Design and develop responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using modern frontend technologies such as React Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product managers and backend developers to translate business requirements into polished, functional, and scalable front-end solutions. Ensuring Cross-Browser and Cross-Device Compatibility: Optimize frontend applications for performance, ensuring smooth experiences across different browsers and devices. Writing Clean, Maintainable Code: Adhere to best practices in writing clean, scalable, and maintainable code, following industry standards for frontend development. Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing, including unit tests and user acceptance tests, to ensure that all user interfaces function as intended, are free of bugs, and are optimized for performance. Implementing Best UI/UX Practices: Collaborate with UX/UI teams to ensure a seamless and accessible user experience, incorporating user feedback to continuously improve interface design. Staying Updated with Frontend Trends: Keep up with the latest trends, libraries, and frameworks in frontend development, and apply this knowledge to improve our technology stack. Documentation: Provide detailed documentation of UI components, workflows, and frontend architecture to facilitate collaboration and ensure long-term maintainability. Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager. Qualifications

Proficiency in frontend technologies including React Experience with frontend build tools and bundlers such as Webpack, Babel, and npm/Yarn. Strong understanding of responsive design principles, ensuring optimal performance on both desktop and mobile platforms. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and working with backend engineers to integrate frontend applications with backend services. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub) and agile development methodologies. Ability to optimize frontend performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility. Knowledge of UX/UI best practices and a passion for delivering high-quality, user-centric experiences. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Vuex). Familiarity with TypeScript and testing frameworks like Jest or Cypress. Experience with accessibility standards and building inclusive user interfaces. Knowledge of design tools such as Figma or Adobe XD.

Additional Information

Salary: $85,000-$165,000
