Description
As a Staff Accountant, you will work with the Finance Team to support various aspects of the finance and accounting processes. This position will assist in the day-to-day accounting functions, take ownership and control of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable cycles, and assist with monthly account reconciliations and the close process. This is an opportunity to gain exposure to a wide variety of accounting/finance functions with a fast-growing renewable energy company in a competitive and rewarding industry.
Key Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for learning and leading the AP cycle for all U.S. company projects, receiving vendor bills through the AP system, Bill.com, and recognizing expenses in accordance with GAAP Responsible for learning and leading the AR cycle for all U.S. company projects, creating and submitting accurate and timely invoices in compliance with company policy and recognizing revenue in accordance with GAAP Manage all vendor relationships and data and ensure correctness in the accounting system Process, verify, and record customer and vendor payments Manage the finance inbox for inquiries and vendor bill submissions. Assist with the month-end close process Responsible for maintaining bank statements and performing bank reconciliations Assist with the monthly cash forecasting process across all entities Process and maintain a schedule for franchise tax and sales and use tax filings Support annual 1099 filings and reporting process to the IRS Assist with the annual financial audits as needed Review, analyze, and maintain contracts, agreements, and formation documents Perform IC (Intercompany) reconciliations between various countries. Qualification
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field Excellent attention to detail and good record keeping Excellent communication and time management skills Self-starter Quick learner Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of GAAP Proficient in Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 Experience with NetSuite and Bill.com a plus CPA eligible or pursing to become one a plus
