We are currently hiring a
Quality Control Document Specialist
in
Elgin, IL.
This role is primarily focused on FAI generation for aerospace projects and requires a candidate ready to step into a fast-paced environment with a proactive approach to quality control and compliance including AS9102.
What will you do as a Quality Control Document Specialist?
FAI Generation:
Perform and complete First Article Inspections (FAIs) independently, focusing 100% on FAI generation for aerospace projects, ensuring AS9102 standards. Drawing Interpretation:
Read, understand, and interpret dimensional and assembly drawings to derive accurate inspection criteria for FAIs. Quality Standards Compliance:
Ensure compliance with AS9102 standards for FAI, as well as ISO and AS standards for aerospace quality management. Documentation and Reporting : Document and report inspection results in alignment with company and industry standards. Inspection Execution:
Use inspection tools and methodologies to verify parts and assemblies meet required specifications. Process Improvement:
Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality in FAI generation. Who qualifies for the Quality Control Document Specialist position?
Experience : Proven experience as a QC Technician or Auditor, with expertise in conducting FAIs according to AS9102 standards. Aerospace Experience : Familiarity with Boeing-specific requirements and standards, with experience in aerospace QC practices. Technical Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend complex dimensional and assembly drawings and accurately derive inspection criteria. Standards Knowledge:
Knowledge of ISO and AS standards related to quality control, with a strong understanding of aerospace-specific quality requirements. Attention to Detail:
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work independently and produce high-quality, accurate FAI documentation. What hours will the Quality Control Document Specialist work?
Monday - Friday, Standard Business Hours 40 hours, 7:30am - 3:30 Temporary Role, up to 6 months How much will you earn as a Quality Control Document Specialist?
