About Our Client
This general contractor, located in Metro Detroit, works on various types of projects throughout the South East Michigan. This contractor works with prominent developers, and are known for repeat business with them. They are continuing to grow and expand their project portfolio. This person would have a flexible work environment while being able to lead a team with full autonomy.
Job Description
Overseeing scheduling, budgets, documentation, etc. of project from beginning to end Ability to lead a team by providing intentional and proactive leadership within the safety culture on site Oversee the management of successful construction projects Preparing reports on construction progress and cost for clients Be client-facing and maintain the client relationship Negotiate, award, and administer all subcontractors, purchase orders, and change orders on construction projects Travel to job site 1-2 days a week MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields preferred Ground-up project experience preferred Experience with retail, commercial, medical, or multifamily projects preferred Experience in overseeing projects from inception to completion Experience with project scope development, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and contract negotiations Proficient in software applications including Microsoft Office Suite, project scheduling software, and web-based applications What's on Offer
