. Candidates must possess robust experience in Linux server configuration, scripting, and system troubleshooting to ensure high security and efficiency.
Rate Range:
$58/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Linux Engineer job responsibilities include:
Implement, configure, and manage Linux-based processes and infrastructure for efficient data warehousing. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system vulnerabilities and access control issues, applying necessary improvements. Enhance and maintain Linux-based tools, scripts, jobs, and processes to support ongoing operations. Collaborate on system upgrade projects and non-permitted technology remediation activities. Ensure system automation and process improvements by utilizing shell scripting, SSH/SFTP, and other Linux tools. Support and configure SDLC tools like Jira, Jenkins, and Ansible to align with Agile methodologies. Manage relational databases, such as Oracle Exadata, and integrate ETL and orchestration tools like Informatica and Airflow. Develop a thorough understanding of Unix file systems, permissions, and data flows for data warehousing and BI solutions. Engage in problem-solving and troubleshooting beyond core skills as needed. Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field. Minimum of 5 years in Linux engineering or a related field. Proven experience with Linux server configuration, shell scripting, and automation. Hands-on experience with relational databases (preferably Oracle Exadata) and knowledge of ETL and orchestration tools such as Informatica and Airflow. Pay Details:
$58.00 to $68.00 per hour
