The Data Engineer will be part of a team that designs and develops YETI's enterprise Data Warehouse and Analytical systems. This position offers an extremely rare and unique opportunity to join a team that acts as a center of excellence for several analytic teams throughout YETI. This position offers an extremely rare and unique opportunity to join a highly profitable, fast-growing business.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for building and maintaining scalable and reliable data pipelines to support YETI's Business needs. Building solutions that enable data scientists to perform advanced analytics and machine learning tasks. Own the system architecture and infrastructure of our Google Could Data warehouse and other related GCP services. Build and assist BI developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement. Qualifications & Attributes:
At least 6+ years relevant experience Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, mathematics, or related fields. Experience with Google Cloud Platform services, such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Composer, Pub/Sub, etc. Expert in writing, analyzing, and tuning complex SQL queries Extensive experience with Python programming Familiarity with data quality and governance principles and best practices Experience with Apigee or Mulesoft for API integration and management is a plus Good understanding of Object-Oriented programming. Willing to work with new tools and learn new programming languages Strong problem-solving ability and a positive attitude. Experience with agile development methodologies and tools, such as Jira, Confluence, etc. Hands-on experience with Java, Javascript & Pyspark are a huge plus Experience with Tableau or other BI tools for data visualization and dashboarding
Position based in Austin, TX at our headquarters office located off Southwest Parkway (must relocate if not local to Austin).
