WORK SCHEDULE

40 hours per week

8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday

The ARNP will work at the General Internal Medicine Clinic 2 days each week and at the Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic 3 days each week

Our clinics are closed on weekends and holidays

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

Our

Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic

treats patients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and insomnia. Our clinic also provides specialized services, including preconception counseling and support for patients receiving psychiatric treatment while pregnant or lactating. The clinic is a primary training site for psychiatry and psychology residents.The ARNP will also provide care to patients referred from our

General Internal Medicine Clinic (GIMC)

- a dynamic teaching practice providing preventative medicine and primary care services. Working in the Collaborative Care Model with social workers in the Behavioral Health Integration Program (BHIP), this position will provide weekly case consultation, medication recommendations, and evaluation of patients followed by service.Both clinics are located at our Roosevelt Medical Center in the Seattle University District.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides Behavioral Health Integration Program (BHIP) consultation services in a primary care setting

Provides behavioral assessments and medication evaluations, under the supervision of consulting psychiatrists

Supports a broad range of patients with mental illness, cognitive disturbances, and substance abuse disorders

Performs patient histories and physical exams

Orders lab and imaging procedures

Interprets laboratory values and diagnostic imaging

Formulates treatment plans

Works collaboratively with physicians, providers, and clinic staff, ensuring patient needs are met within a service-oriented framework

Supervises and evaluates trainees

REQUIREMENTS

At least 2 years of experience at the ARNP level in a behavioral health clinic or unit

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with physicians, staff, patients and families

A valid Washington State license to practice as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, which also requires a valid Washington State Registered Nursing licensure
