Overview Stryten Energy is looking for great additions to the Salina, KS team Production Workers to fill Pasting positions in our production departments. Production Workers must work safely, produce high-quality products in an efficient manner, and learn other positions on the line. We're seeking people with positive attitudes, safety and quality orientations, and a team-oriented spirit. The best candidates are dependable and take pride in their work. Mechanical aptitude is a plus. Positions available in Pasting, Formation, and Assembly The starting pay rate - $22.58 per hour A Shift: Sun-Tues, every other Wed; 5:10 am to 5:42 pm B Shift: Sun-Tues, every other Wed; 5:10 pm to 5:42 am C Shift: Thurs-Sat, every other Wed; 5:25 am to 6:00 pm D Shift: Thurs-Sat, every other Wed; 5:25 pm to 6:00 am Bonus opportunities Quarterly Attendance Bonus - associates have the potential to earn up to $600 each quarter; just for showing up to work your scheduled hours Gainshare Bonus - hourly associates have the potential to earn up to 10% of their gross monthly pay; potentially $300 per month Production Bonus - associates have the potential to earn daily bonuses based on the plant hitting production goals; potentially up to $11.50 per hour in addition to your base pay Stryten offers a strong benefit package that includes the following: Medical, prescription, dental and vision plans Short-term, long term disability and employee life 401(k) plan with Company match Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Stryten pays the majority of your benefit contribution costs Apply online or text plantjobs to 97211 to begin your pre-screening process Start a Career that Makes an Impact Responsibilities Employee is required to repeatedly lift and handle battery parts, envelope materials, elements and batteries weighing from grams to 50 pounds. Continuous and repetitive loading of plates into feed magazines and some hand stacking of positive and negative plates. Perform first piece set-up, weld breaks, and weld analysis. Will process 1000-2400 batteries per 10-hour shift. Work with a multiple-person team in an area containing electrical powered machinery, torches, lead melting pots, conveyors, computers, and ventilation equipment. Must learn and follow quality control specifications, maintain accurate and timely SPC charts, 002 forms, and other material control documents. Will be exposed to lead (dust, fumes, and molten form), hot glue, and other hazards. Must be able to understand and communicate in basic English to receive training, instructions and perform team responsibilities. Recognize & Record scrap during shift when required. Fill out JD Edwards reconciliation form, end of shift. Maintain a clean and orderly work area in accordance with 5s requirements. Comply with safety and health regulations for the protection of self and fellow workers. Follow Lean Manufacturing Procedures. Comply with current Quality Systems requirements. Perform other duties as assigned by the Management Team. Follow safety policies to include use of PPE. Qualifications Physical Requirements: Frequent lifting from grams to 50 pounds Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, stooping and pulling. Continuous Standing and Walking for 10-hour shift. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment such as gloves, respirator, safety glasses, and metatarsal guard shoes, etc., as required in established policy. May sometimes be exposed to extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid). Must work from 10 inches to 60 inches above the floor and reach 24 inches side to side. Equipment Used: Small hand tools, numerous types of powered equipment and control panels, hoists, torches, platen carts, safety equipment. Personal Protective Equipment as required.
