Position The Hardware group at Eikon Therapeutics develops super-resolution, high-throughput optical instrumentation. The Hardware team is seeking an Engineering Technician to participate in future instrument development. As part of Eikon’s diverse team of biologists, medicinal chemists, hardware, and software engineers, you will design and deploy custom super-resolution microscopes and automated systems that will enable the exploration and quantification of Eikon’s high-content datasets. What You’ll Do Design cable assemblies based on system architecture drawings and PCBA schematic diagrams Build small series of cable assemblies Build and test electro-mechanical assemblies and instrument prototypes based on sketches and verbal instructions. Apply your good soldering skills in prototyping and rework of PCB assemblies Search for parts (cross referencing) and creating part entries in the CAD system Schematic entry in CAD system. (Altium experience is preferred) Create release documentation packages Align optical systems using lasers and cameras Qualifications Typically requires a minimum of 4-6 years of related experience. Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions Experience using basic measurement instruments to verify and troubleshoot electrical, electromechanical and optical assemblies. Good communication skills, ability to follow and refine manufacturing work instructions and test procedures. Proficient in PCBA rework and soldering of SMT components down to 0402 size. Able to operate autonomously. Disciplined to follow established best practices, work instructions and guidelines. Proficient using computers and Microsoft Office tools. Team oriented, flexible, able to adapt to rapidly evolving goals and challenges. The expected hourly range for this role is $41.83/hour to $45.68/hour depending on skills, competency, and the market demand for your expertise.
