This role involves ensuring that all piping systems meet industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory compliance. *Senior Piping Engineer Responsibilities* * Manage the engineering design of piping systems for various ship types, including fuel, cooling, HVAC, bilge, ballast, and other essential systems. * Develop and review piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), isometrics, and layout drawings to ensure accurate and efficient designs. * Conduct pipe stress analysis and hydraulic calculations to ensure system reliability and performance under different operational conditions. * Oversee the selection and specification of piping materials, valves, and components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. * Coordinate with structural and mechanical engineers to ensure proper integration of piping systems within the vessel's overall design. * Provide technical leadership to junior engineers, designers, and draftsmen, guiding them through design processes and solving complex technical challenges. * Collaborate with procurement and production teams to review material orders and provide support during the fabrication, installation, and testing phases. * Conduct design reviews and risk assessments to identify potential issues early in the project lifecycle and implement corrective actions. * Provide on-site technical support during ship construction, including overseeing piping installation and ensuring compliance with design specifications. * Interface with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to resolve technical queries and ensure project alignment with customer expectations. *Senior Piping Engineer Position Requirements* * Master's degree and 5 -10 years of relevant experience OR 4 Year Degree in field of competence and 8 -13 years of relevant experience OR 2 Year Degree and 10 -15 years of relevant experience * Demonstrable knowledge of relevant engineering field * 5 years of supervisory experience * Experience using 2D and 3D CAD software to an advanced level * Competent in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint *Senior Piping Engineer Preferred Position Requirements* * Technological skills proven by verifiable and specific work experience, technical publication, or patent issue Six Sigma OR LEAN training desired * Working knowledge of standard shipbuilding rules and regulations, as well as the associated regulatory agencies and the review & approval process #LI-Onsite
