Summary:
Supervises the overall warehouse operations and daily activities of the warehouse team. Oversees receiving and stowing, picking and packing, shipping, inventory management, and documentation. Implements practices that maximize production efforts to improve the overall effectiveness and financial performance of the production function.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:
- Oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities such as receiving and storing goods, managing inventory levels, ensuring the efficient delivery of products, and maintaining warehouse safety.
- Coordinate logistics and work closely with other departments to optimize the warehouse function.
- Monitor and ensure the safety and security of goods and materials.
- Plan, organize, supervise, and participate in the operational activities of the warehouse, including the receipt, documentation, storage, safety, and distribution of equipment and supplies, and maintenance of inventory.
- Conduct physical inventories and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly supervises employees within the department.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; ensuring all safety rules and regulations are followed; investigating accidents in a timely, accurate, and complete manner.

Education and Experience:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- High School Degree or General Education Degree; with 4-6 years of related experience and/or training required.
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) in Business Administration, or related discipline, preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Business Administration, or related discipline, desired.
- Prior experience with the aerospace and defense industry serving world-wide customers highly desired.
Required Skills:
- Language: Must have excellent written and verbal skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Must have solid analytical skills and solution-driven thinking and able to use large amounts of data to make decisions.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Must understand basic shop math.
- Other Abilities: Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite. Must possess thorough knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic. Must have knowledge to apply general use of databases/spreadsheets. Ability to complete the planning of workflow and meetings. Must have strong organizational, project, and proposal management skills. Must be able to manage and prioritize workflow. Must have previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Must possess and maintain a good driving record. Must have prior forklift experience.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand 6 to 8 hours a day. Must be able to work with their hands, arms and be extremely accurate. Must be able to walk, sit, stoop, or kneel, on a regular basis. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds on an occasional basis, with assistance.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving high-speed machinery and mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions, machine oils, metal fillings, acetone, paints, solvents, grease, cutting fluids, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock or vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
