Job Description: Position Title: Digital Strategy Director Position Type: Full-Time FLSA Classification: Exempt Division: Brand Strategy and Communications Department: Digital Media Reports to: Chief Marketing Communications, and Digital Officer Compensation Range: $89,400 - $125,000 Position Summary: The Digital Strategy Director oversees the long-term planning and strategy of digital communications tools, including websites, applications, signage, interactive products, and more for Crystal Bridges and the Momentary. At the direction of the Chief Marketing, Communications, and Digital Officer, this role works collaboratively to set strategy, build roadmaps, and implement solutions to advance the institution’s overall digital strategy. The position oversees a broad digital and multimedia team structure within the Brand Strategy and Communications Division to develop innovative approaches to activate digital touchpoints, prioritizing customer and user experience. The role also works extensively with other internal and external partners and stakeholders to execute a variety of needs through the institution’s digital media properties. Principal Responsibilities: Digital Strategy and Leadership Oversee the development of the institution’s digital multimedia strategy focusing on current systems as well as emerging digital trends, tools, and technologies for websites, applications, and other digital media platforms. Work closely with division leadership and teams to develop audience and user-centric strategic plans to achieve institutional goals through digital media integration. Oversee brand consistency across all digital platforms, ensuring all content maintains a consistent visual and narrative voice and tone. Keep up to date with industry best practices, tools, and applicable compliance standards; serve as internal champion of digital engagement from the top down. Management and Collaboration Guide the day-to-day work of the digital media team, ensuring that priorities, timelines, and resources are set and managed effectively. Build processes and establishes governance standards in the digital media space. Collaborate with content creators (writers, editors, designers, and multimedia producers) to present and deliver high-quality, accessible content. Partner with IT resources and other institutional stakeholders on a regular basis to collaborate on projects and initiatives that integrate media and technology. Design and provide in-house training on systems used by the institution as needed and/or assigned. Lead the management of relationships with vendors and agencies. Manage budgets, including expenses for new projects, as well as maintenance costs for existing and ongoing services and projects. Analytics and Reporting Contribute to the evaluation of digital media efforts: reporting, determining ROI and key measurements of success, assessing of digital delivery and recommending strategies for continuous improvement. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in related field. Seven to ten years of experience in a similar role, with at least two years in a supervisory or team management capacity. Experience in managing and leading a digital team. Proven leadership of successful digital transformation projects. In-depth understanding of the technical product development processes (prototyping, design, development, and deployment). Experience with content management systems such as WordPress. Experience with cross-browser compatibility and accessibility. Well versed in SEO and Accessibility best practices. A keen eye for design and UX/UI expertise. Excellent Project Manager. Demonstrated ability to lead projects from concept to completion and apply best practices in user interface and interactive design, including image optimization and site mapping. Experience with Google Analytics or another web analytics platform. Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, and limitations of the web. Fluency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Strong technical skills, including knowledge of Microsoft, Adobe, and social media. Ability to make evaluative judgments. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to train and guide others. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
