BSW Program Director - Bloomington Campus
Indiana University - Academic, Bloomington, Indiana, United States, 47401
The Indiana University School of Social Work (IUSSW) anticipates hiring a BSW Program Director on the IU Bloomington campus. The BSW Program Director is a twelve-month, non-tenure track faculty appointment. The BSW Program Director provides collaborative leadership and administrative coordination for the BSW program at IUB, including recruitment, advisement, and support of BSW students matriculating on the IUB campus, and recruitment and support of associate faculty for the BSW program.
The Program Director will also have teaching responsibilities and will participate in service activities such as the IUSSW BSW curriculum committee and other relevant school, campus, university, or community committees or groups as required.
The BSW Program Director reports directly to the IUB Campus Director to administer the program on the Bloomington campus and to address needs that arise in the specific campus and community context. This individual will be expected to collaborate and consult with the Senior BSW Program Director at IUI to ensure consistency in policies, curriculum, and student support between the program at IUB and on our other IUSSW campuses.
The person in this role will also work collaboratively with the IUSSW Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and the IUSSW system-wide program directors/coordinators including the Directors of Admissions, Career Services, Field Education, and Recruitment to ensure compliance with all processes and procedures of the IUSSW.
The Indiana University School of Social Work (IUSSW), founded in 1911, is a university-wide system school with CSWE-accredited MSW and BSW Programs since 1923 and 1975 respectively, reaffirmed in 2021. The School’s annual enrollment totals approximately 1,800 students across programs (PhD, MSW, BSW) and campuses. With current leadership under Dean Kalea Benner, the School encompasses eight campuses plus an online MSW program and a Center for Social Health and Well-Being to advance impact, with our explicit commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) serving as a central guiding pillar.
IU Bloomington Campus:
