University of California, San Francisco Department of Medicine-Hematology/Oncology Assistant, Associate or Full Professor (Health Science Clinical or Clinical X series) - Medical Oncology The Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the Division of Hematology/Oncology are recruiting for new clinical faculty members at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. Candidates' primary responsibility in this position will be to provide outstanding patient care, with the expectation of seeing patients 6 half-days per week in outpatient clinics located at the Mission Bay campus of UCSF. There are no inpatient responsibilities with this role. Candidates should have a commitment to patient care and a track record of clinical excellence and experience in the treatment and management of patients with solid tumors (either in general oncology or within a subspecialty area). As part of this role, they will work closely with colleagues in other cancer subspecialties and attend multidisciplinary tumor board conferences, as well as supervise and teach medical students, residents, and fellows during their outpatient clinical rotations. Candidates will be expected to contribute to the clinical research program of the Heme/Onc Division by enrolling in ongoing clinical trials. Serving as a Principal Investigator on trials and/or developing their own research projects is also encouraged but not mandatory, depending on the academic and research interests of the candidate. Candidates must have an MD or DO degree and be ABIM certified or eligible in Medical Oncology. The appointment will be made in the Health Sciences Clinical or Clinical X series at a rank compatible with the candidate's qualifications. Compensation for these specific clinical faculty positions will be supplemented above academic norms. Rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience. The minimum base salary range for this position is $127,000-$333,700.
