Democracy Program Specialist/Analyst
As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen AND an active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a

clearance. The Democracy Program Specialist/Analyst will support the Office of the Coordinator for U.S. Assistance to Europe and Eurasia's Policy, Planning, and Performance (P3) with general foreign assistance to the region. Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for
Democracy Program Specialist/Analyst : $121,894.00. Pay commensurate with experience. Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice. Responsibilities Include: Coordinate with stakeholders on USG foreign policy priorities and track foreign assistance to the region. Serve as the liaison on foreign assistance priorities, planning, formulation, tracking, and negotiations in democracy, governance, justice, gender, and other areas for Europe, Eurasia, and Central Asia. Chair/lead democracy working groups or ACE's Annual Budget Reviews related to justice, human rights, media, anti-corruption, etc. Draft and clear materials, including Congressional Notifications, for various audiences concerning U.S. foreign assistance. Coordinate and track U.S. foreign assistance funds and their alignment to U.S. policies in support of reform priorities. Manage special events such as briefings, conferences, and public meetings regarding U.S. foreign policy. Produce, research, and formulate official responses to requests as directed by ACE executive leadership. Represent ACE at strategy, planning, and other meetings as the subject matter expert on democracy-related assistance. Coordinate U.S. foreign assistance policies in support of reform priorities. Serve as a Functional Assistance Specialist in planning and coordinating program strategy among multiple U.S. government agencies. Provide expertise in democracy and governance for Europe, Eurasia, and Central Asia. Act as the EUR/ACE liaison with posts and missions on country and regional priorities. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Experience, Education, Skills, and Abilities: Education:
Bachelor's in a related field (e.g., international politics, foreign policy, business management, social science, IT, or accounting). Professional Background: Over 3 years of relevant experience in international politics, foreign policy, and social science. At least 2 years experience in U.S. foreign policy goals related to U.S. foreign assistance in the democracy sector. At least 1 year experience coordinating, drafting, and tracking documents within the U.S. Department of State. Foreign Policy Knowledge:
Strong understanding of U.S. foreign policy goals, especially related to foreign assistance. Communication Skills: Excellent written and spoken English skills. Skilled in producing high-quality documents for senior management under tight deadlines. Experience in drafting informational materials for government approval. Experience in creating official responses for requests from ACE executive leadership. Project Management & Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks and coordinate activities across locations. Works well in a multicultural team. Skilled at independently managing tasks with minimal supervision. Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, cloud-based applications, Office 365, and SharePoint. Organizational & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Proven skill in organizing events and engaging stakeholders on U.S. foreign policy issues. Policy & Communications Strategy: Ability to assess and implement communication and policy changes. Experienced in streamlining communication templates and processes. Security & Clearance Requirements: Requires minimum SECRET Clearance with the ability to obtain and hold TOP SECRET Security Clearance. US Citizenship is required. Must pass Cherokee Federal's pre-employment qualifications. Additional Information: 100% Onsite. M-F Days. This position may require international travel two to four times per year.
