Job description The Holocaust Learning Experience Program Director will work closely with the Holocaust Learning Experience Executive Director and team. They will assist with supporting all elements of programs, education, and events.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

Work collaboratively with the HLE Executive Director and team in the development and implementation of the on-campus learning programs for schools, community groups and civic organizations.

Oversee coordination and growth of these programs and field trips.

Maintain excellent and effective relationships with other campus departments, including housing, security and maintenance.

Manage and coordinate Living History projects throughout Palm Beach County and surrounding counties.

Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with Holocaust Survivors who provide testimonies in various settings, which may include coordinating transportation and assisting Survivors and descendants with preparing testimonies.

Co-create and conduct outreach to promote schools to have students visit the Gendelman Family Memorial and coordinate guided tours for schools, civic and religious groups, and community partners to the HLE on the MorseLife campus.

Participate and support the team/s to provide a positive, mission-focused experience.

Recruit, engage, manage, and retain volunteers Ambassadors.

Oversee training of volunteer Ambassadors.

Recruit, engage, manage, and retain the number of Survivors and descendants for the Speakers Bureau and other guest lecturers.

Participate in the management of a database with community partners’ programming.

Participate in outcome data gathering from LMS, Survey Monkey, schools, and community-based and webinar programming.

Coordinate with Marketing, Events, purchasing, and social media teams to implement strategic plans for disseminating HLE materials and messaging, including Showcase of events.

Host webinars and Zoom training/meetings.

Assist in the planning and overseeing of events, and coordinate logistics in all locations.

Assist in the research to create new programs.

Completes all other duties as assigned.

Excellent administrative and clerical skills.

Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

Ability to respond to and assist in the resolution of complaints and problems.

Proficient knowledge of Outlook, Excel, online surveys (e.g., Survey Monkey), Zoom, and hosting webinars.

Must maintain confidentiality.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor or Master’s degree in business administration, education, social sciences, or equivalent/related field.

Experience in managing and coordinating events.

Experience in managing, coordinating, and training volunteers.

Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to communicate well both orally and in written form.

Ability to work well within deadlines on multiple and varied projects simultaneously.

Experience supervising others.

Experience with public speaking.

A dedicated commitment to issues of social justice and Holocaust Education.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, stakeholders, and the public.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

WORKING HOURS

Monday – Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm. Availability to work evenings and weekend shifts as requested.
