Program Manager of Special Projects
The Program Manager of Special Projects will focus on advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) at Mass General Hospital (MGH) by supporting education, training, program operations and project management for the MGH Center for Diversity and Inclusion (CDI) and the Office of Belonging and Engagement (OBE). Responsibilities of the incumbent will be divided equally between OBE and CDI to achieve deliverables for the role. Time commitments may fluctuate between the groups at times due to deadlines.

Desired Skills
Experience, knowledge and interest in the advancement of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB), especially within an academic learning and/or healthcare environment.
Experience with DEIB training and education, especially within an academic learning and/or healthcare environment.
Excellent project management and communication skills.
Good understanding of public health data, summarizing progress and conducting assessments through public health, equity and education lenses. Proficiency in data tools (e.g., STATA, SPSS, REDCap, Insight) is desirable.
Proven track record of working successfully in a multi-matrixed organization, under several departments and managers, and with multiple staff across and at all levels within the organization.
General Duties, Responsibilities and Operations
Develop strong and positive working relationships and partnerships with key hospital and system leaders (e.g., MGB Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (MGB DEI), Graduate Medical Education (GME), MGB Marketing and Communications, and MGH Development Office).
Clearly communicate project timelines, objectives, milestones and deliverables to stakeholders and oversee the execution of the overall plan. Provide status updates to implementation and management leads on a regular basis.
Monitor project-related analytical work as assigned.
Contribute to the production of scholarly work that captures the work of our projects, including program outcome analysis.
Office of Belonging and Engagement (OBE)
Reporting to the OBE administrative director, the incumbent will support activities with the focus of promoting belonging and engagement for patients, staff, visitors and the community. Some high-level examples include:
Multicultural media program (CoNECTaR)
- Provide accurate, timely, multilingual health information to underserved communities in multiple modalities.
Inclusion Campaign
- Part of MGH's plan to eliminate structural racism and advance racial equity.
Signature clinical teams
- Provide project management support to clinical teams (e.g., Center for Immigrant Health, Sickle Cell Disease Center, Disability Program) as needs arise.
Center for Diversity and Inclusion (CDI)
Reporting to the CDI executive director and supporting the CDI associate director for learning and education, the incumbent will be a key member of CDI's learning and education efforts, including the Learning and Education Pathway (LEP). Key responsibilities include:
Providing oversight, organization and project management for CDI's DEIB learning and education projects, including but not limited to, the LEP.
Co-facilitation and independent facilitation of LEP training sessions.
Providing program evaluation support in partnership with the CDI director for research evaluation (e.g., survey design, collect feedback and analysis of data).
Developing a virtual library portfolio of DEI trainings in collaboration with CDI's senior communications specialist.
