We are hiring a full-time Leadership Position working as a Program Director for our Childcare Division (Afterschool/Day Camp) at the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas. In this position, you will build relationships with school administration, parents, and a team of part-time staff who lead daily activities with children, keep kids safe, and contribute to high-quality Afterschool programming. A Program Director leads a team of part-time staff who manage the daily operations of multiple afterschool program sites (depending on position/territory) and up to 3-day camp programs, ensuring that all sites meet licensing requirements and deliver great customer service to School Hosts, Families, branch connections, and the community at large. A Childcare Program Director will be a Leader and Role model to their team in the values aligned with the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas: Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Caring. Directors ensure that all staff are properly onboarded, trained, and given the right resources to deliver a top-notch childcare program promoting a healthy body, mind, and spirit for our children. He/She will manage the financial responsibilities associated with Afterschool and Day Camp programs, help actively recruit staff, and promote programs while being passionate about the cause and mission of the Y. Minimum Qualifications:

Supervision experience with at least one year of direct reports: Hiring, Coaching, Managing a team who directly report to him/her. Demonstrated ability to be inclusive, compassionate, and caring toward all. Minimum of 2 years of experience in management, education, or business with a demonstrated ability to build and coach a team of individuals successfully. Minimum of 1 or more years of experience in multi-unit childcare management. Strong skills in planning, recruitment, customer service, and program quality assurance. Proven ability to build teams and relationships—able to build rapport within the local community including school administration and a proven ability to communicate effectively with all. Preferred applicants will have a BS/BA degree and/or are currently a Director Certified through Child Care Licensing. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and travel to required destinations in his/her territory. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
