UX Designer
Position Description:
Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract-to-hire UX Designer opportunity.
Job Responsibilities: Conduct user research through customer interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather insights and identify user needs, pain points, and behaviors. Create and maintain user journey maps, personas, and scenarios to inform design decisions. Translate research findings into presentations, design concepts, requirements, wireframes, and prototypes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, product owners, UX designers, engineers, and stakeholders, to ensure user-centered design principles are integrated throughout the development process. Develop and iterate on workflow and interaction designs, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience. Utilize existing Design System and UI styles to maintain design consistency across products. Always learning about new industry trends, competitor medical devices, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX design and research. Focus on streamlining workflows and improving the efficiency of user interactions to enhance overall user satisfaction and productivity. Identify opportunities to optimize and simplify complex processes, reducing cognitive load and minimizing user errors. Measure the impact of design changes on user efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring that the UX improvements directly contribute to better user outcomes and experiences.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in UX design and user research. Experience conducting user research, including customer interviews, usability testing, and creating user journey maps. Familiarity with hardware/software integration and the challenges associated with designing for both. Proficiency in design and prototyping tools. We use Figma and Miro. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex research findings into actionable design solutions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present ideas and influence stakeholders effectively. Knowledge of software development processes and the ability to work closely with development teams to ensure design implementation. Strong proficiency in interaction design, with a solid understanding of user-centered design principles.

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Pay Rate Range: $45-70/hr Location: Seattle, WA/Hybrid ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.
