Job Title: Cradle to Grave or Strict Sales Hunter Location: Houston, TX Salary: $45,000-90,000 commissions (dependent on experience) Remote/Hybrid/Onsite: Onsite (100%) About Us: This asset-based third-party logistics brokerage is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service to both shipper and carrier partners. Responsibilities: Develop Customer Relationships: Secure freight through phone, internet, and networking. Research Accounts: Identify key players and generate interest in our services. Freight Commitments: Solicit daily/weekly freight commitments from customers. Sales Opportunities: Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails. Consignment Negotiation: Negotiate the successful consignment and delivery of loads with approved carriers. Carrier Cultivation: Prospect and cultivate new carriers to establish capacity. Utilize TMS Technology: Learn our TMS technology and use data meaningfully. Problem Resolution: Actively communicate any problems with team members and be on-call in rotation with your team to resolve after-hours issues. Professional Representation: Project our company with honesty, integrity, and a commitment to personal service. The ideal candidate should know all aspects of moving a full truckload in the brokerage space - from the customer side of the landing business to the carrier side of knowing the market and booking trucks. We expect our sales reps to be comfortable managing shipments from start to finish but will support you with resources to focus your strengths in the areas you love. With an uncapped commission structure, you will lay the groundwork for financial freedom and build your own book of business and will have the ability to recruit, train, and hire support staff as needed. Qualifications 2 years' experience in FTL freight brokerage Pricing/Negotiation Knowledge FTL Experience (Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed) Leadership qualities to mentor and train new hires Ability to problem solve, think quickly, and make educated business decisions Highly motivated with the ability to aggressively pursue and close business Superior written, presentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a team environment, while also delivering independent results Strong ability to persuade, motivate, and influence others Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage time effectively Compensation and Benefits: Market-competitive salary with a generous commission plan.
