LMI is seeking a Advanced Analytics Team Lead to support an Intelligence Community client. This position will be located in Washington, DC or Reston, VA. Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing a team of data analysts and data scientists to provide analytical support through machine learning, statistical analysis, causal analysis, and modeling and simulation within the people analytics team. Lead and collaborate with a team of data scientists, data analysts, and HR functional SMEs to understand business processes, develop analytical requirements, and interpret and communicate analytic results. Frame and scale data problems to effectively analyze, visualize, and derive data solutions. Understand and analyze complex, organization-specific datasets. Build models using machine learning, rule-based, or traditional statistical methods. Contribute to the development of the organization's advanced analytics strategy and roadmap. Implement and deliver technical and process consulting through management of standard consulting projects. Transform data and analysis into informative visualizations and interactive dashboards using open-source and commercially available tools. Derive insights and analytic narratives from data and visualizations for effective storytelling and communication. Operate in a fast-paced, client-focused environment, delivering analysis and reporting. Develop techniques to integrate, consolidate, and structure data for analytical use. Advise non-technical customers on the interpretation and use of data analysis products, dashboards, and reports. Manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of analytical solutions with business goals. Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Stay updated with the latest advancements in analytics and data science, and provide technical guidance to the team. Provide training and mentoring to junior team members to build the team's overall capability. Ensure the accuracy and reliability of analytical outputs through rigorous quality assurance and validation processes. Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in data science, mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, engineering, or a related quantitative discipline is required. Advanced degree (master's or Ph.D.) in a relevant field is preferred. Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years as a technical lead or task lead. Proven track record of managing and delivering complex analytical projects. Technical Skills: Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Python and Java and/or experience with computational analysis tools like R and MATLAB. Familiarity with data science libraries such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, keras. Competence in creating meaningful data visualizations and interactive dashboards that communicate findings and relate them to business impact. Experience with visualization platforms like Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, RShiny, Plotly, and D3.js. Tableau expertise strongly preferred. Working knowledge of databases and strong SQL is desired. Preferred experience includes linking analytic and data visualization products to database connections. Familiarity with data science methods related to data architecture, data munging, data and feature engineering, and predictive analytics. Experience with unstructured text and natural language processing is preferred. Communication and Leadership: Superior communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior team members. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across the organization. Additional Qualifications: Ability to work in a fast-paced, solutions-oriented environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. This position requires an active security clearance at the TS/SCI level with polygraph. Target salary range: $104,040 - $183,600. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications. The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation. Individual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, skills, and security clearances.
