Job Description
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a dedicated and experienced 2nd, or 3rd Shift Supervisor to oversee the operations of our manufacturing client. The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for managing shift operations, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing production efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and analyze shift production data, adjusting targets as needed to achieve process goals, cost efficiency, and compliance. Provide feedback and implement corrective actions to address any issues.
Optimize the use of process and equipment resources to minimize costs and maximize output. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in operations.
Oversee shift operations to meet production goals and performance standards. Supervise and support the shift team, including process foremen and maintenance crews, through clear objectives and performance assessments.
Ensure all employees, contractors, and visitors adhere to safety regulations and company policies. Promote a culture of safety and conduct regular safety audits.
Maintain high-quality standards to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements. Investigate and resolve any quality issues, documenting and implementing corrective actions.
Coordinate daily maintenance activities for all equipment during production campaigns. Plan and oversee equipment inspections, repairs, and improvements during non-production periods.
Identify training and development needs for the shift team. Implement programs to enhance skills and ensure the team is equipped to meet current and future demands.
Maintain clear and effective communication with all team members, other shifts, and management. Provide regular updates on shift performance and any issues that arise.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Industrial Management) or equivalent industrial experience with progressive supervisory responsibilities.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, mechanical equipment, and safety regulations.
Proficiency in data management systems and Microsoft Office.
Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $109,999.00 per year
