The General Superintendent is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing field operations across multiple restoration and reconstruction projects nationwide ranging from a few thousand dollars to several million. This position ensures that all projects are executed safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality. The General Superintendent will serve as the liaison between restoration and construction superintendents and upper management, offering technical expertise, training, and mentorship

What you'll do....
Leadership and Oversight:
- Direct and oversee all field operations for commercial restoration and reconstruction projects nationwide.
- Supervise and mentor superintendents ensuring consistency in project execution
- Collaborate with Directors, Project Directors, Construction Managers, and other stakeholders to resolve challenges and optimize project delivery.
Project Execution and Quality Control:
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures and quality control measures across all projects.
- Review project plans, schedules, and scopes of work to ensure alignment with client expectations and company standards.
- Conduct regular site visits to inspect progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.
Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations, ensuring a safe working environment across all job sites.
- Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations on all projects.
Scheduling and Resource Management:
- Coordinate labor and equipment allocation across multiple job sites to ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Monitor project schedules adjusting as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential delays or challenges
Communication and Reporting:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for superintendents, providing regular updates to operations and senior leadership.
- Ensure that superintendent project documents responsibilities and expense reporting meet with company guidelines and deadlines.
- Prepare and present detailed reports, including metrics on project timelines, budgets, and safety performance
- Education and Experience:
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field
- 10+ years of similar experience with at least 5 years in a superintendent or equivalent role; construction or restoration experience a plus
- Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in office software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices, materials, and methods.
- Proficiency in project management and scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project).
- Familiarity with local and national building codes and OSHA regulations.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English, Spanish a plus
- Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Frequent travel required to job sites across the country.
- Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet project demands.
- Physically capable of walking job sites, climbing ladders, and lifting materials up to 50 lbs.
