Project Manager - Accident Repairs - Mobility Customer Service

Position Overview:
Siemens Mobility is a global leader in electrical engineering and electronics. By uniting innovative technology and the expertise of dedicated people, Siemens is able to bring to market the most comprehensive range of new ideas and innovations for Rail Vehicle Refurbishments. Siemens Rolling Stock Customer Service focuses on the design, systems integration and refurbishment of light rail vehicles, locomotives, coaches and trainsets.
The Project Manager will be responsible in completing Rolling Stock Customer Service projects ranging from $200k to $3M in value and durations from six (6) to nine (9) months. The Project Manager will be the key participant during the projects' execution and is responsible for various work packages within the main project execution during phases including proposals, planning, design, procurement, manufacturing, commissioning, and customer acceptance. Duties include directing resources in a matrix structured organization, while meeting goals for customer satisfaction, cost, schedule and quality. The Project Manager will have communication to internal and external customers for aspects related to the assigned working packages of the project. This position reports to the Program Manager of Light Rail refurbishments. This role will be based in Sacramento, CA.
What your day-to-day will look like:
• Planning and execution of all operation goals and tasks established for the project.
• Proactively handle the assigned working packages such as contractual work, document control and participates in design meetings with the customer.
• Lead internal meetings and supervise action items with internal partners for the assigned working packages.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to assess repair needs, troubleshoot issues, and recommend technical solutions.
• Lead customer meetings and negotiation for changes in scope, cost and schedule and take minutes of the meeting with action items.
• Supervise and control project scope, schedule, budget, risks and work that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and partners.
• Optimally communicate and handle work package and sub-project expectations to team members and customers in a timely and clear fashion.
• Coordinate the collaborative work between different Siemens entities to deliver a complete integrated product which fulfills the customer requirements for a contract including both rolling stock and customer services scope.
• Develop and deliver monthly project reports, customer progress reports, customer change proposals, and presentations to management and internal / external customers.
• Identify and resolve issues/conflicts within the project team.
• Support customer sales channel activities
To thrive in this role, you have:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field. In lieu of degree Siemens or PM experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 2+ years of PM experience.
• Ability to handle multiple activities in an exciting fast paced environment.
• Ability to travel 10%.
• Setting you apart from others would be minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, with a focus on transportation systems, rail, or heavy industrial equipment manufacturing or repair. Technical experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering is helpful and PMP or PM[redacted] certification would be really great.

The base salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA is $110,000 - $129,300. The actual salary/wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
