With this in mind, we are hiring two Marketing Managers who will support Terracon's offices in the Midwest. Each role will sit in one of our Kansas, Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri, Iowa, Oklahoma, or Nebraska offices. This position will lead our marketing professionals in several states, while also working in partnership with our CMO, divisional and office leadership, and client development teams. You will also have the responsibility to inspire and lead the operations marketing team to position and win business using a variety of marketing channels, while also leading the marketing planning and execution to help drive business growth.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience with building and leading strong teams, load leveling across the region, developing marketing plans and communicating marketing vision and progress to Company leaders. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and strategic marketing skills. Marketing experience in the engineering, architecture, or construction fields, and experience responding to proposal requests and SOQs is required.

Essential Role and Responsibilities:
- An empathetic, collaborative leader who can influence and inspire others (marketng and technical), and brings a deep understanding of pursuit leadership, client engagement, and A/E/C marketing best practices.
- Leads a team that produces and coordinates Go/No-Go meetings, proposal, and presentation preparation, conducts reviews, and works with technical champions to ensure quality proposal (SOQ) material is delivered on schedule.
- Supports operations with business planning through market research, prioritizes marketing efforts to drive division growth, champions change initiatives, and effectively communicates progress.
- Ensures that marketing material produced (branding, key messages, qualifications, etc.) aligns with our branding and is accurate, timely, and well-written.
- Leads the planning and execution of CRM strategy and reports progress to operations teams. Ensures the broader marketing team are influencers in CRM usage by technical staff and the keeper of all client information.
- Establishes a cadence for producing valuable market and client data that helps operations team's client development efforts. Coordinates with national marketing on new research tools and processes.
- Mentors marketers to develop skills sets that will support the usage of technology and AI to get faster and more creative marketing communications.
- Works with client development professionals, regional managers, and pursuit teams to develop strategy and Project/Client Capture Plans.
- Leads effective and measured event planning and industry outreach, including leading strategy for tradeshow participation.
- Works in collaboration with marketing resources in the region (national marketing support that is regional) to determine best usage for targeted digital marketing and thought leadership communications.
- Works with the CMO and Marketing Business Partner to build team structure, establish a vision for marketing, champion national marketing initiatives, provide change leadership for the region, and develop in the role.
- Works with other marketing professionals to share company-wide best practices and inter-divisional information sharing and collaborates with our corporate marketing and communications team.
- Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite and strong writing skills.
- Follows safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all activities.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related degree and 12+ years' marketing and communications experience. Alternatively, in lieu of a degree, 16 years of related experience.
- Prior experience with private and public agency proposal submittals/SOQs within the A/E/C industry.
