Job Description

This role requires you to be onsite three days a week at either our Irving, TX, Blue Bell, PA or Boca Raton, FL locations. The other two days are remote, offering the flexibility you need while still engaging in meaningful collaboration with cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do:

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the evolution of our infrastructure and development processes, transitioning from traditional DevOps practices to a modern platform engineering approach. This role emphasizes automation, pipeline optimization, and platform standardization to drive efficiency and scalability across our organization. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will design and manage self-service platforms that empower development teams, enforce best practices, and enable continuous delivery at scale.
  • Platform Design & Development
    • Architect and build scalable, resilient, and self-service infrastructure platforms.
    • Design and implement standardized solutions for CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated testing frameworks.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver robust platform solutions.
  • Automation & Efficiency
    • Automate repeatable processes across the software development lifecycle.
    • Develop tools and services to streamline deployment, monitoring, and incident response workflows.
    • Champion the adoption of "everything-as-code" methodologies.
  • Pipeline Optimization
    • Enhance and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, reliable, and secure software delivery.
    • Standardize deployment processes across multiple environments (development, staging, production).
    • Ensure compliance with organizational security and operational standards.
  • Standardization & Best Practices
    • Drive the adoption of consistent frameworks and tools for infrastructure and development.
    • Establish guidelines and best practices for infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and observability.
    • Develop documentation, playbooks, and training materials for engineering teams to adopt platform tools effectively.
  • Collaboration & Mentorship
    • Partner with development teams to ensure platform alignment with application needs.
    • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
    • Act as a key liaison between infrastructure, operations, and development teams to align goals and priorities.

What You'll Need:
  • Technical Expertise
    • At least 7 years of experience with GCP Cloud, and or relevant experience with other cloud providers.
    • Proficient with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
    • # Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g.GCP, AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
    • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi).
    • Advanced knowledge of CI/CD systems (e.g., Harness, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
    • Solid scripting / programming skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Go) and configuration management (e.g., Ansible, Chef).
  • Platform & Automation Focus:
    • Proven experience automating infrastructure and workflows at scale.
    • Ability to design self-service platforms that balance flexibility and governance.
    • Deep understanding of modern observability tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Datadog, NewRelic, Splunk, Otel, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving / critical thinking abilities and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication skills, with a focus on collaboration across teams.
    • Passion for driving efficiency, standardization, and technical innovation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience implementing developer portals or internal developer platforms.
  • Familiarity with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
  • Understanding of security best practices in cloud and containerized environments.
  • Certifications in cloud platforms or Kubernetes (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CKA).

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this role is $120,800 - $181,200 and is based on experience and qualifications.

Certain roles are eligible for annual bonus and may include equity. These awards are allocated based on company and individual performance.
