The Quality Manager will oversee all quality operations at the plant, focusing on team development and maintaining strong partnerships with OEM customers. This position demands a proven leadership background, the ability to excel in a dynamic environment, and expertise in technical automotive quality, including IATF systems and AIAG core tools.

Our client, a pioneering automotive parts manufacturer, develops and delivers next-generation technologies to leading automotive producers. With a legacy spanning over 120 years in South Chicago, they are now seeking a Quality Manager to oversee and maintain the quality systems at their Chicago facility.Description
- Maintain consistent compliance with IATF 16949
- Coordinate with OEM customer on quality performance, work to increase standing with the customers
- Train, develop, and mentor team members in engineer, technician and coordinator positions
- Lead cross-functional teams to create and update Process Control Plans/Manufacturing Process Plans, FMEAs, and Process Masters
- Initiate and coordinate follow-up activity on Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAR/PAR)
- Coordinate activity related to Claims and Non-Conforming Product including processing the required internal and external documentation
- Review Heat Treatment nonconformances and disposition for retesting or reprocessing
- Review Material Test Reports for compliance to order specifications and submit to customers
- Log quality related data such as nonconformances and first pass quality into QA databases
- Generate quality reports and update monthly key performance indicators (KPI) data
- Prepare First Article/Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submission packages
- Perform Internal Quality Audits in conformance with ISO 9001
- Coordinate supplier quality activity including supplier quality audits and surveys
- Complete customer quality surveys
- Assist Metallurgy in Contract Review

- 10+ years experience in the automotive industry
- 5+ years of leadership experience
- Strong track record of training and developing quality talent
- Comfortable in a fast paced environment
- Strong quality skills pertaining to corrective actions and root cause analysis
- Experience working with automotive OEM customers
- Strong understanding of AIAG core tools

Job Offer
- Salary between $100,000-$130,000 depending on experience
- Bonus up to 10%
