Regional EHS Manager

Remote (within the US)

Travel: up to 75%

Position Overview

The Regional EHS Manager reports to the Sr. Director of Operations, Americas, and provides Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) expertise to North American HHC facilities and businesses. This role ensures compliance with EHSS regulations and internal standards, minimizes risks, and supports the development and implementation of programs and training to foster a "Safety Always" culture across all sites.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of EHSS strategy and risk management plans for North American facilities.
  • Manage and develop EHS staff, including site EHS Managers and Coordinators, through training, coaching, and mentorship.
  • Develop and enforce compliance with EHS policies, programs, and standards, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct audits, identify non-compliance, and recommend sustainable corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance on Process Safety Management (PSM) activities and risk assessments.
  • Support the creation of sustainable programs based on existing and emerging EHSS regulations.
  • Assist with required regulatory submissions, including Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) and other environmental reports.
  • Evaluate and guide facilities on addressing audit recommendations and ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Act as a liaison with Global EHSS teams and external insurance carriers to improve safety and property loss prevention.
  • Support the implementation of global safety initiatives and best practices.


Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Environmental Science.
  • 10+ years of experience in Safety & Health management or related roles.
  • Demonstrated experience with U.S. health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting regional PSM operations.
  • Strong project management skills, including budgeting, planning, and implementation.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities with effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%.


Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $157,000 - $172,000.
