Special Security Support Specialist II
This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance.
The Special Security Support Specialist III plays a vital role in managing and enhancing Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security operations. This senior-level position involves overseeing the implementation of security protocols, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and providing expert guidance on SCI security procedures. The specialist will administer the receipt and control of SCI materials, conduct advanced training and briefings for personnel, and develop comprehensive security documentation.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Special Security Support Specialist II: $100,000 to $120,000
Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Special Security Support Specialist II Responsibilities Include:
- Administer SCI security procedures and ensure compliance with applicable manuals, regulations, policies, and instructions.
- Explain the purpose and reasoning behind current SCI security procedures related to sensitive intelligence information.
- Manage the receipt, control, and accountability of SCI materials to ensure proper handling and security.
- Support Special Security Officer (SSO) operations, Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) operations, and integrated security services in areas such as Personnel Security (PERSEC), Information Security, Physical Security, TEMPEST, and Industrial Security.
- Conduct security indoctrination briefings and training sessions for individuals or groups to meet personnel security requirements.
- Utilize security databases, such as Scattered Castles, to maintain records and support security operations.
- Draft security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and desktop procedures to enhance security protocols and ensure clarity in processes.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Special Security Support Specialist II Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Minimum eight (8) years in physical security or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required
- Strong customer service orientation with proven expertise in physical security support
- Familiarity with security databases and ability to draft effective security documentation
- Understanding of SSO operations, SCIF procedures, and various areas of SCI security
- Experience in conducting security training and briefings preferred
- Knowledge of current security regulations and best practices in SCI management preferred
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
