Our client, a growing consulting firm specializing in services for healthcare, technology, and other sectors, is seeking a Accountant to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to their ongoing expansion and their efforts to strengthen their industry presence.The Accountant will play a vital role in managing accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable/receivable processes, and maintaining a strong general ledger. This role requires hands-on experience with Workday Financials and a solid foundation in accounting principles (GAAP).
Key *****
Accounts Payable/*****
Manage accounts payable processes (60%) and accounts receivable as needed.
Process vendor invoices, consultant bill rates, subscriptions, and IT costs (low volume).
Perform weekly settlement runs, including invoice and voucher payments.
Handle cash transactions, ensuring timely data entry and routing for approval.
General Accounting & *****
Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Track daily cash transactions and assist in maintaining the balance sheet.
Generate financial reports using Workday Financials, with a focus on project profitability.
Collaboration & *****
Coordinate with team members across multiple locations to ensure smooth operations.
Professionally manage email communications, ensuring accurate data entry into Workday.
Provide training and collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial processes.
Minimum *****
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
Senior-level accounting experience with a strong foundation in accounting principles (GAAP).
Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
Workday Financials experience
Excellent communication skills, including timely responsiveness in a virtual environment.
Collaborative and kind, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
Preferred *****
Experience with financial reporting and data manipulation in Workday.
Familiarity with project accounting processes, including tracking project-based profitability.
Compensation & *****
Competitive salary based on experience.
Flexible PTO (does not accrue; 90-day probation period, but pre-planned time off is accommodated).
