About the Company & Opportunity - Grant Accountant
Well-established non-Profit organization is seeking a Grant Accountant to join their team
Extremely stable non-profit organization with over $100million in operating budget with over 50 programs
This company provides support for children, adults, and families in communities across the tri-state area
The role will be located in Midtown Manhattan on a hybrid schedule

Overview of the Role- Grant Accountant
Assist in preparation of annual budgets for programs in conjunction with program management
Reconciliation of various grants including regular billings and reconciliation of general ledger
Prepare new budget proposals, monthly budget to actual analysis and the monthly billing report
Prepare and submit budget modification requests as needed monitoring variances of expenditure over budget and advising program directors to monitor spending to the budget
Prepare program financial statements as required by either funding source or program management
Record general ledger entries (salaries, revenue, bank reconciliation)
Preparation of the year end reports for the annual audit
Assist in preparation of salary detail and other schedules for CFR and SSOP reports along with the preparation of supporting schedules for Uniform Guidance report
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications - Grant Accountant
Degree in Accounting or similar major
Experience working in a not for profit role with contract billing is a plus
Experience with HHS Accelerator , CFR, SSOP or Great Plains Dynamic is helpful but not essential
