Job Description:
As DealerOn's Desktop Technician you will be part of an IT team that provides internal end-user support and account administration. The successful Desktop Technician will be creative and a strong problem-solver, joining a team of capable IT Desktop Engineers dedicated to supporting the company's computing resources and infrastructure. This position is located onsite, at the DealerOn Headquarters office in Rockville, MD.
Essential Functions:
Provide support and troubleshooting services to a fleet of laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other related peripherals both on premises and remotely Answer and resolve support cases in a timely manner with emphasis on strong customer service Install and configure software and applications for workstation distribution Assist in the provisioning and maintenance of user accounts, email, group membership, drive mappings and peripherals Assist subject matter experts with software upgrades, networking and security team activities and management to identify issues, research solutions, and escalate issues to the appropriate resources within the team Assist in the documentation, periodic review, and maintenance of departmental Standard Operating Procedures Perform imaging, repairs, and maintenance of desktops and mobile workstations Asset management and distribution, including packaging, moving, shipping, and reception of computers, servers, and any other IT hardware Schedule and monitor warranty repair through equipment vendors and shipping companies Maintain and monitor equipment stock and inventory. Perform other duties as assigned Required Skills/Experience:
High school or equivalent 2 years' experience in field or career Experience supporting Windows Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 10/11) Proficient in supporting desktop, laptop, and mobile hardware IT support Basic networking knowledge, including DNS and DHCP Excellent attention to detail, especially with communication (written and verbal) and meeting deadlines Proficient with Office software suite Experience in a fast-paced environment Ability to prioritize tasks that change frequently and manage unexpected demands Dependable, follows instructions and takes initiative to solve problems Preferred Skills/Experience:
CompTIA A+ Certification (Or other certifications in this field) 1 year in customer service The targeted salary range for this position is $37,500 - $51,900. The posted salary range for this position may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; internal pay equity; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
