About the team: This is an opportunity to join the Technology Finance organization acting as a subject matter authority on systems and data for eBay Marketplaces! Ideal candidates will demonstrate their extensive systems, project management and process knowledge to be able to analyze, consolidate and communicate financial data analyses from multiple systems to supply substantial results to a winning organization! The successful candidate will find him/herself surrounded by sharp professionals operating in a fast-paced, intellectual, and team collaboration environment. What You Will Accomplish: Finance Analyst for Payments Technology organization.

Includes monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and ad-hoc project support.

This analyst will also provide financial support for the Core Technology’s Computer & Equipment budget and consolidation of financials Responsible for the execution of the monthly financial close, journal entries, accurate financial reporting of expenses, and hiring plans Drive analysis of cost trends and articulate related cause and effect to managers Work closely with Controllership team to coordinate compliance with GAAP, ensure that the relevant financial control processes are used and appropriate audit trail maintained at all times Build and maintain positive relationships with various parts of the business to understand their needs and/or requests, and challenge methodologies to ensure balance between shareholders, customer and business partner expectations Be an active business partner who helps guide decisions and resource allocations by providing a deep understanding of return on investments on business decisions: ability to draw out insights and challenge based on trends and variance analysis Continuously find opportunities to automate and streamline processes to increase efficiency and accuracy in the operational planning processes Provide insightful and actionable monthly reports comparing actual trends against budget and forecast assumptions Build presentation content for Monthly Business Review of key metrics and expense drivers Assist in the development of Business Strategy and maintain a high level of communication with eBay Leadership, including facilitating meetings and presenting analyses What You Will Bring: Dedication to working 3 days per week out of our Salt Lake City, Utah or our Austin, Texas office in our Hybrid Work Model Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance Passionate about business and the related performance 3+ years of finance experience with exposure to different areas (business analysis, accounting, FP&A, etc.) Experience with financial systems such as Anaplan, SAP BPC, SAP BW, etc. Ability to present and impact decision making at all levels of the organization Strong interpersonal skills and a proven track record to partner effectively with all functions and levels within the organization Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to multi-task and manage timelines Ability to perform in a matrix organization with multiple partners with a high degree of complexity and ambiguity The ideal candidate will have outstanding technical skills with spreadsheets, presentations, along with proven financial analysis capabilities Accounting background would be helpful and preferred #LI-JG1 Please see the Talent Privacy Notice for information regarding how eBay handles your personal data collected when you use the eBay Careers website or apply for a job with eBay. eBay is an equal opportunity employer.
