General Surgery Physician Assistant
Dartmouth Health – Manchester, NH
The Department of Surgery at Dartmouth Health is looking for a PA to join our general surgery team in Manchester, NH.
This person will join a collaborative team of physicians and PAs providing world-class care to our community.
Overview:
General surgery, bariatric surgery, and colorectal surgery
4-day work week
No weekend or night call
Established patient base
Mix of clinic, hospital rounding, and OR
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited PA academic program
NCCPA certification
Eligible for PA licensure in the State of NH
Eligible for Federal DEA Registration
BLS certification
Key Clinical Responsibilities:
First Assist in OR, laparoscopic, and open procedures
Evaluate patients in outpatient clinic
Perform inpatient rounding and consults
Initiate admission/discharge of patients
Initiate referrals to other providers as necessary
Function as a member of the multidisciplinary bariatric care team
Evaluate patient’s progress during follow-up visits and implement revised plan of care as necessary.
Provide patient education.
Provide guidance and counseling for both individuals and families.
Demonstrate patient advocacy that ensures the patient’s right to privacy, confidentiality, and informed consent.
