Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports using Blackbaud software.
Conduct monthly reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing analytical support.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting.
Collaborate with program managers and other staff to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, regulations, and grant requirements.
Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role, preferably in the non-profit sector.
Strong proficiency in Blackbaud software; familiarity with other accounting software is a plus.
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis functions.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
