About the Role: Coordinate a team of Material Handlers that are responsible for the physical and systematic activities (dock activity, packing, pick, ship etc.), while identifying, resolving, or elevating issues in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with all regulations and procedures, and partner with Quality function as necessary. Your responsibilities will include: Process export documentation for all of exports including scheduling pickups from carriers. Along with scheduling pick-ups for domestic freight upon request. Oversees workload distribution and productivity performance of the group. Responsible for monitoring/reporting throughput, quality, and assigning tasks accordingly. Monitor performance to standard operating procedures, including company Quality policy and working towards ensuring regulatory requirements are met. Track and report out quality, productivity, and throughput metrics as required. Perform job duties of staff (Material Handlers) when necessary. Responds to internal and external customer requests. Assists staff with problem solving, inquiries and handles escalated issues. Perform on the job training for employees to meet customer expectations and to adhere to GMP, ISO and Standard Operating Procedures specifications. Investigate and resolve errors that occur between sites. Such as short ships over ships etc... Support with NCEP investigations and risk assessments by retrieving necessary information to complete the prevention. Apply Lean Principles to daily activity. Identify and implement process improvements. Use of computers, printers, and other equipment as required. Use of handling equipment - pallet jacks, power equipment maybe required. Lifting, bending, reaching, pulling, standing, and turning required through out the day. Perform other duties as assigned. Quality System Requirements In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures. For those individuals that supervise others, the following statements are applicable: Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy. Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
