Position Summary: The Cloud Program Manager oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of cloud-based projects within a federal infrastructure. This role manages project timelines, plans, and resources to ensure successful delivery. The Cloud Program Manager collaborates with IT teams, federal staff, and external vendors to align cloud-related activities with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the role contributes to process improvement initiatives for enhancing project delivery, leveraging tools like Microsoft 365 Copilot to streamline workflows and improve productivity. Responsibilities: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation. Lead all phases of project management: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time and within budget. Support and oversee the completion of the final cloud migration into Azure from an on-premise data center. Guide the modernization and optimization of systems running in Azure, transitioning from 'lift and shift' techniques to cloud-optimized architectures using Microsoft and other vendor services. Provide support to executive-level clients, balancing client expectations, team limitations, and project scope while fostering a collaborative environment. Address and resolve conflicting needs (internal, multi-organizational, etc.), handling complex issues and mitigating risks effectively. Facilitate effective communication among CIO, COR, CO, customers, contract staff, and other service providers. Maintain continuous and transparent communication to enhance IT enterprise interoperability. Prepare and deliver status reports covering staffing, task accomplishments, and financial updates. Develop and maintain a risk management plan, identifying and mitigating potential risks. Coordinate with the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team to ensure project compliance with FISMA and other regulatory standards. Ensure the functionality and optimization of virtual environments, servers, and backup systems. Provide after-hours support for critical systems, including weekends and federal holidays as needed. Support applications and solutions within the software development portfolio. Plan, design, implement, and test system changes and enhancements based on user requirements. Ensure compliance with all production systems and supporting documents regarding current 508 accessibility standards. Implement test strategies to ensure the viability of applications, security patches, and system changes. Maintain documentation for business cases, configuration management, change management, and other project activities. Research and recommend new technologies and improvements to the IT environment. Create and maintain a three-year strategic plan for IT technology and support. Implement and maintain the virtual environment on Nutanix, SharePoint, IIS, and backup/recovery systems like Cohesity. Develop and maintain comprehensive network infrastructure design, including virtual LANs, network maintenance, server upgrades, optimization, and backup of server/user files. Support applications and solutions in the active development portfolio, including .NET framework, ASP.net, SharePoint, React, SQL Server, and Team Foundation Services.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of project management experience, particularly with cloud infrastructure projects. PMP or similar project management certification is required. Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate) are highly desirable. Strong technical knowledge of cloud services, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong leadership and team management abilities, advanced problem-solving capabilities, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to effectively use Microsoft 365 Copilot to enhance productivity in day-to-day project management tasks, including drafting project plans, generating reports, summarizing meeting notes, and preparing presentations. Capability to guide team members in leveraging Microsoft 365 Copilot tools to improve collaboration and streamline workflows. Ability to craft precise and effective prompts to maximize the use of AI tools. General understanding of Generative AI and its practical applications in a client environment, with a focus on driving organizational and customer adoption. A proactive approach to staying updated with emerging AI technologies and identifying opportunities to integrate them into everyday practices.
Compensation and Benefits *The projected compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $180,000 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
