We are seeking a Classified Destruction Coordinator to help us provide safeguarding and destruction of classified material in the Laboratory . The Classified Material Control (CMC) team is an integral piece of the overall mission of the Security Administration Group, which aims to provide superior security administration services, while executing the requirements, restrictions, and safeguards prescribed by the NISPOM 32 CFR Part 117 to safeguard classified information. This team provides excellent assistance to programs and staff in the arenas of classified material control, personnel security clearances and classified visits. We continuously strive to partner with government and industry security leaders to improve and streamline the administration that surrounds the protection of classified information .

Job Responsibilities:

Serve as a Primary Collection Point & Destruction Subject Mater Expert (SME) for destroying classified and administrative restricted documents and media (i.e., hard drives, CD 's , DVDs, thumb drives, etc.) for the Laboratory in accordance with NISPOM 32 CFR Part 117 security requirements.

Perform daily use and maintenance of NSA EPL Industrial Shredding Equipment, Degaussers, and Destruction Devices.

Approving Shredder Purchase Requisitions for Sectors and Departments requiring new shredding equipment. Ensuring that all Shredding devices being purchase meet the NSA EPL requirements.

Maintaining an active listing of all Shredding Devices located within the Campus location(s).

Perform Daily Destruction Pickups for Sectors and Departments requiring SECD Destruction Services.

Perform data entry using Service-Now, MDRS, and Microsoft Office

Problem solve discrepancies and respond to inquiries involving Classified Destruction Material and Records of Destruction ( ROD's ).

Provide support to CMC personnel at Main Campus and MP6 locations

Utilize vehicles to transport classified documents for destruction , as well as perform courier services of classified documents.

Maintain destruction records and provide receipts to staff for media received/destroyed.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

Associates Degree or equivalent work experience.

3+ years of industrial security related experience.

A minimum Secret clearance to start

Understanding of 32 CFR Regulations as it pertains to Safe Guarding Classified Information.

Experience with Security Forms SF-701 & SF-702.

Experience with Operating DAA Alarm Systems and X10/X11 Locks.

Computer and office skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff.

Excellent organizational, follow through , and attention to detail skills.

Ability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing.

Are able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs and up to 60 lbs.

A valid state of residence driver's license that is in good standing with the MVA.

Must able to obtain Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain Secret level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

Desired Qualifications:

Operational Expertise with NSA EPL Destruction Devices.

In-depth knowledge of practices and procedures , facilities, services, and key personnel.

In-depth knowledge of Accountability, Handling, and Destruction of classified material in accordance with 32 CFR requirements.

Familiarity with the 32 CFR and other DoD regulations concerning the handling of classified material.
