Key job responsibilities
As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work with consumer application testing expertise. You will join the team of hands-on, pro-active, self-motivated and seasoned SQA professionals. In this role, you will:
Create test plans and test cases
Review user interfaces for conformity and functionality
Efficiently execute test cases across all functional areas of our products
Review product user interface for conformity to design guidelines
Isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution
Interpret and report testing results, and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process
Work with Software Development Engineers to understand the overall technical architecture
Triage issues, react well to changes, and work with teams
A day in the life
As a QA Engineer, you will champion the quality of our features in development pipeline using both automated and manual tests, reporting and verifying defects, and signing-off on features and release candidates. You will own authoring and execution of test plans and test cases. You will have a significant impact in the quality and delivery speed of our software/business, and most importantly our customers. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA in order to ensure the features we deliver to our customers have a high level of quality. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to propose improvements to our existing processes and automated tools in order to improve the team’s speed, quality and efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
4+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
Experience in manual testing
Experience in automation testing
Experience scripting or coding
Experience with performance and scalability testing
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $102,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
