KCI is seeking a seasoned Sr. Transportation Project Manager to join our roadway design team. Manage the overall development of transportation projects, ensuring they adhere to schedules and meet state DOT and AASHTO design standards.
Oversee and resolve complex project issues, including conflicting design requirements and coordination challenges. Supervise the use of MicroStation and GeoPAK design software by the engineering team. Prepare and review technical proposals, assemble project teams, and maintain professional relationships. Lead and organize a team of designers, CADD technicians, and project engineers, ensuring efficient workflow and collaboration. Act as the primary liaison between clients, agencies, subcontractors, and design teams, ensuring clear communication and project alignment. Coordinate the activities of engineers and technicians to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget. Oversee the delivery of complete transportation design packages, including the coordination of multiple design disciplines. Supervise the preparation of plans, technical specifications, quantity takeoffs, and construction estimates in accordance with state design manuals and standard drawings. Serve as the lead designer or engineer of record for major highway projects, including design-build projects, providing guidance and oversight to the engineering team. Uphold engineering ethics and standards of conduct. Qualifications: Extensive experience in roadway design, highway design, traffic control, and plan preparation. Proven ability to manage transportation projects and schedules using state DOT and AASHTO design standards. Proficiency with MicroStation and GeoPAK design software. Strong leadership skills with a broad knowledge of transportation processes and state design standards. Professional Engineering License for Georgia is required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 9 - 14 years of professional experience. Appropriate professional certification preferred. Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
