Prime Air is seeking an experienced Engineer within the Product Support Organization team to drive deployment of hardware and software functionality, pursue continuous improvement, and investigate issues on a critical program across several different disciplines. This role requires demonstrated troubleshooting capabilities, and ability to innovate in a constrained design space.
Excellent communication skills are a must to build trust and drive alignment across both design and operations spaces. You will work with engineering, manufacturing, and operational functions across all Prime Air teams, to drive efficient delivery, and decompose ambiguous problems into straightforward solutions. The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer focus, problem solving skills, regulatory understanding, and the ability to convert lessons learned to requirement update requests. You will work hard, have fun, and of course, make history!
Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent
Experience working in design, product (technical or operational) support, or field service
Experience with new product introduction/launch, and change introduction
Experience with project planning and prioritization of requests
Experience working on aerospace products / projects or in other regulated fields like healthcare or automotive
Experience with troubleshooting, trend analysis, and RCCA (root cause and corrective action)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with customer facing roles
Experience leading continuous improvement efforts and driving operational efficiency
Experience with quality systems
Experience with change management and technology deployment
Experience with design or redesign of integrated systems
Experience working with suppliers
Experience with repair stations and recertification
