Junior Technical Engineer (machinery manufacturing) Background Check is requiredJunior Technical Application Engineer Ideally this position will be a six month contract to hire with the conversion arrangement already in place. As a Technical Submittal Engineer, you’ll play a key role in bringing projects to life. You'll create and deliver detailed Engineering Submittal Packages and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals, collaborating across departments to ensure everything aligns with project goals, client requirements, and company standards. What You'll Do: Team Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, and Controls teams to develop technical submittals and O&M manuals that meet specifications and client needs. Technical Review: Analyze project documents to ensure submittals align with the scope and technical requirements. Create Submittal Packages: Prepare comprehensive packages, including system diagrams, equipment layouts, and technical documentation. Write Sequences of Operation (SOO): Develop detailed SOO for engineering submittals and work with external controls engineers to ensure accuracy. Keep Projects on Track: Identify and solve potential issues during submittal creation, helping projects meet deadlines. Stay Organized: Manage submittal records, revisions, and approvals, providing status updates to stakeholders. O&M Manuals: Create thorough O&M manuals for completed systems, tailored to the client’s needs. Continuous Improvement: Suggest ways to improve submittal and manual development processes for efficiency and quality. What You Bring: Strong technical background in industrial machinery, with bonus points for knowledge of mechanical systems in wastewater treatment. Experience with technical submittals, O&M manuals, and interpreting mechanical, civil, and electrical drawings. Familiarity with machinery control systems. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe (AutoCAD or SolidWorks is a plus). A degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent experience).
