About the Role:
BBSI is partnering with a leading door and window manufacturer to find an experienced Finishing Paint Supervisor who is ready to bring their skills in wood finishing, water-based stains, and UV coatings to a high-performing production team. If you have a knack for quality control, team leadership, and process management, this role offers a dynamic environment where your contributions will drive quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Quality Assurance
· Ensure all production staff comply with Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) processes.
· Oversee production quality, troubleshoot issues, and ensure products meet our client's high standards.
· Enforce health and safety protocols, including PPE compliance (safety glasses, earplugs).
Team Leadership
· Supervise and evaluate the performance of production personnel, assigning duties, providing feedback, and conducting annual reviews.
· Lead daily and weekly team meetings to review schedules and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
· Train and guide team members on proper procedures, fostering accountability and a strong work ethic.
Process Management
· Organize workflow to ensure production deadlines are met; proactively communicate any equipment, staffing, or production challenges.
· Implement and uphold best practices in finishing processes, with a focus on productivity and quality.
· Suggest operational improvements and efficiencies to upper management.
Qualifications & Skills
· 3-4 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally in door or window production or a related field.
· Technical expertise in water-based wood stains, UV sealers, and topcoats.
· Solid understanding of quality standards, health & safety regulations, and best practices in production.
· Skilled in reporting on production metrics and KPIs.
· Strong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
· Keen attention to detail, with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
· High School Diploma or GED required; additional training or certification is a plus.
