Job DescriptionIn this position, you will be responsible for order picking, replenishing, wrapping pallets, labeling, and loading trucks throughout the shift. You will use an internal ERP system to load RF scanners with correct orders and enter order numbers into a scan gun based on a pick sheet provided by a supervisor. The role involves detailed training due to the complexity of the tasks, which include handling multiple units in a package on a line item. Basic math skills are essential, and the physical nature of the job requires strength for heavy lifting, bending, and squatting.
Responsibilities- Assist with the receipt, transfer, and storage of incoming freight.
- Pick and prepare shipments for the Building Materials Division.
- Unload incoming freight, verify product against packing lists, sort material by end destination, and put away excess stock.
- Use fork trucks and order-picking equipment.
- Load outbound transfer trucks.
- Accurately pull customer orders and prepare materials for shipment.
- Secure and label products for delivery.
- Transfer picked orders to the staging area for delivery per the delivery schedule.
- Assist in cleaning and maintenance of the warehouse.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.

Work EnvironmentThis is a brand-new building in Cottage Grove, MN. The facility currently does not have heating or air conditioning, meaning it will be colder in the winter and warmer in the summer. The company prides itself on having brand new equipment and maintaining a safe working environment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cottage Grove, Minnesota.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
