Adjunct Professor- Welding Priority Applications Deadline: December 2, 2024 (open until filled). Anticipated Start Date January 21, 2025 Position Description Taft College is seeking a pool of qualified candidates with demonstrated instructional skills to join an outstanding team of faculty and staff to provide high quality programs and services for our students. Teaching assignments may be temporary, part-time and/or on-call and may be immediate or as needed (as specified in Education Code 8748.25). We are seeking adjunct faculty with the ability to teach in the above area for inclusion in a pool for the 2025 Spring semester. The following is a representation of the duties for this position. Instruct community college courses in Welding. Teach courses on a schedule that may include days and evenings. Deliver instruction utilizing multiple modalities including in-person on campus, online, and hybrid. Teaching assignment may take place in a high school as part of dual enrollment. Submit required reports and grades within established guidelines. Optional: Hold scheduled office hours to meet with students. Optional: Opportunities for professional development. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS An applicant may meet minimum qualifications in one of the ways listed below: Any bachelor’s degree or higher and two years of professional experience OR Any associate degree and six years of professional experience OR The equivalent. An Equivalency Determination may be submitted along with all application materials to be considered for this position if you do not meet the stated minimum qualifications. This is a part-time position and is not eligible for participation in District benefit plans.
