Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join the WattStopper Team in Carlsbad, CA.

What Will You Do?

Role: Lead cross-functional development teams, sustaining teams and technology partners through the product development phases. Launch products on time, and on budget, while meeting the product performance and quality requirements. Manage multiple teams without direct supervisory responsibility.

Main Activities:

* Organization: Individual competency model * Main Interface: Internal - Engineering at all levels, product management, marketing and sales, manufacturing and quality assurance teams. External - partners and suppliers. * Budget: Provides input on project budget, manages projects to established budget.

Main Job Duties:

* Lead and manage projects from initiation to completion using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies. * Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, schedule and budget. Hold regular project status review meetings. Assess required resources and skills necessary to execute proposed projects. * Coordinate Development, Validation and Manufacturing plans with project development teams to carry out the project execution with assistance from functional managers. * Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. * Proactively coordinate activities between Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and Product Managers to ensure New Product Develoment steady progress. Coordinate sustaining activities to ensure timely execution with little to impact to ongoing production. * Coordinate pre-production builds and new product validation between different BCS locations and with BCS partners. * Develop contingency plans and escalate issues resolution to the proper decision makers to avoid project slips. * Generate progress reports and deliver periodic project status updates. * Plan and carry out Design and Phase Exit reviews. * Support New Product Commercial Launch Readiness activities. * Promote and support Continious Improvement Methodology across BCS divisions and departments. Contribute to the creation and management of the tools used to manage projects across the organization. * Develop a budget for the project, track project expenditures including coordination of purchase orders, track man hours and other resources spent on the project. * Promote professionalism, accountability, effective communication and transperancy at all levels.

Qualifications

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field. * PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification (e.g., CSM, PMI-ACP) is a plus. * Minimum 5 years technical program or project management experience. Proven experience with both Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies. * Strong understanding of project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, ADO, Smartsheet). * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

* Must possess project management skills, including demonstrated ability to develop and manage deliveries per established project plan. Must be capable of establishing priorities, delegate action items to team members and follow-up to meet deadlines. * This role requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and ability to effectively handle multiple priorities. As well as exercise an independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and carry out project activities. * Strong initiative; self-driven to deliver results without daily supervision. * Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment. * Must be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus to extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information. Must be able to create effective reports, presentations and business correspondence. * Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions. Must be able to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Experience with risk management and risk mitigation highly desired. * Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, e-mail and meeting management software. Ability to use internet and web-based resources efficiently and effectively.

Compensation: $105,000/yr - $145,000/yr
